Hi,
great job! Are you talking about 300 Mbit/s over lan or wifi? Do not expect that speed on wifi. Benchmarks shown about half the speed. It also depends on the overall throughput of the usb controller and what is there connected else. But still a huge improvement compared to the previous pi model. RE: It is possible to run rpitc 3.112 on the new raspberry pi 3 B +
Hello,
I'm new here. I'm planning to buy a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ soon and have the RPiTC v3 1.12 installed. For a project I'll be working. However based from the post on this thread, the process is not just a straightforward install (dd image file to SD, then boot) ? Is the RPiTC v3 1.12 not yet built to support Raspberry Pi 3B+ ? But I buy a Raspberry Pi 3 now, RPiTC v3 1.12 should just work (including the wifi), right ? Thank you in advance to anyone who can confirm. Cheers! |

You should edit the 73-usb-net-by-mac.rules file before putting the sdcard into B+. Otherwise, it did not work in my case. In the second attempt, I edited the file right after updating the firmware in the Pi 3B. Then rebooted Pi 3B and transferred the card into B+. It is working good now. However, I do not see any connection at the "Network Settings" tool and I couldn't start wifi either. |
