Having to hold shift to double left or right click

I have everything working perfectly with the exception of one issue. While in Microsoft Outlook in the VMWare View client, I am having to hold in SHIFT to do a double left click, or a right click, while in the calendar.

Having read numerous forums on the issue for other distros, I came across a system update for ARM that should've addressed the issue via:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

and that did work...for about a week. Now it's back to it's unusual behavior. I tried to update again, but no change. Has anyone else seen this? If so, how did you address it?
