Tftp server windows to linux
Hi it's me (Again Sleepy).

I want to transfer a file from my windows to my rpitc with an tftp server. My server is working and I can transfer a file between two rpitc. But when I want to transfer a file from my windows to my rpitc, he doesn't understand what is "C:". So I activate my trace and I have:

Code:
Packet Tracing on.
tftp> get c:\test\test.txt
tftp: c: Name or service not know

I have no idea how I can resolve this. I have search on google during a lot of hours but I had never find the solution Dodgy.

Can you help me?Angel

If you need more information tell me what you want. Don't forget I'm a noob Sleepy.

RE: Tftp server windows to linux
Hi,

i'm sure the path is wrong.
Normally no tftp server will provide a path with "c:" nor with "\".
Check the configuration of your tftp server and how the path of the directory will be exported.

If you can set c:\test as your default tftp directory on the tftp server you just need "get test.txt" to download the file as example.

I had try this but maybe I do this wrong. I'm not very experimented with the tftp protocol...

But thanks for your answer!

Aragmond.

Edit: This is my /etc/xinetd.d/tftp file:

Code:
service tftp
{
protocol    = udp
port        = 69
socket_type = dgram
wait        = yes
user        = root
server      = /usr/sbin/in.tftpd
server_arfs = /etc/xinetd.d/tftpboot
disable     = no
}

RE: Tftp server windows to linux
The TFPT Server is on a Windows System right?
So this config from the Raspberry wont help.
The problem isn't the configuration on the Raspberry.
You just used the wrong path to download a file from the windows server.
Use a relativ path like "/test/test.txt" instead of an absolut path like "c:\test\test.txt".
But for this you have to tell your windows tftp server that the default root directory is "c:\".
